CANARD DRONES, the leading company in the use of drone-based solutions for NAVAID and airport inspections for both civil and military airfields, has announced the integration of the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise drone with all its visual (PAPI, ALS, Lights) and infrastructure (PCI, ETOD, photogrammetry, etc.) solutions. In this way, CANARD DRONES offers a more manageable and affordable alternative for this particular type of inspection.
One of the main characteristics that define the Mavic 3E is its portability, since the drone, together with all its components (controller, battery, etc.), can be easily transported in a suitcase the size of hand luggage. In fact, its small size and light weight significantly reduce the assembly and disassembly time, since it is not necessary to assemble or disassemble any element of the drone.
Likewise, the Mavic 3E’s battery lasts up to 45 minutes. In this regard, it should be noted that, unlike other larger models, the small volume of these batteries allows the transport of up to seven of them in the same hand luggage of the drone in commercial airlines and, in addition, in compliance with the rules of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Thus, the Mavic 3E, with which CANARD DRONES will replace its fleet of DJI M210, joins the larger M300 model, also developed by DJI. It should be recalled that the M300 offers, in addition to visual and infrastructure solutions, radio solutions (ILS, VOR) through the PNA-200 (Portable Navaids Analyzer) receiver device integrated in the drone itself. Both models, however, have very similar features, such as speed, flight time, wind resistance and temperature range.
Both the Mavic 3E and the M300 share the same systems and safety measures, such as the strobe light, integrated transponder receiver, obstacle sensors, geo-fencing, etc., and also offer the same RTK positioning accuracy, as both drones work with the same base station.
An “ideal” choice for remote locations
“The Mavic 3E model is an ideal choice, especially for services in remote locations, as it is easily transported in hand luggage with all its batteries and components, with excellent data visualization. We are therefore talking about a great alternative for visual and infrastructure inspection that will allow us to perform work with the same efficiency as always, but even in less time and at a more affordable cost for the customer,” said Juan Diaz, CTO of CANARD DRONES.
